Plead with the Mountain God version 1.0.3. - Bugfixes and Optimization!

We are in the midst of developing Plead with the Elder Gods (please wishlist on Steam, it really helps us a lot!) right now, but decided to do a small update for Plead with the Mountain God to address a few



Like it says in the title, this update addresses some bugs and performance issues. The biggest thing added is occlusion culling (demonstrated in the gif above) which makes it so the game doesn't render things that are clearly out of view, making the game run a little smoother. A number of small bugs were also fixed.
As a bonus, an option to change the camera sensitivity has been added, for those that felt the original was either too high or too low.

Plead with the Mountain God version 1.0.3.

October 4, 2021.

- Added the option to change camera sensitivity from the options menu.
- Fixed a bug where ambient sounds wouldn't play if you exited into the main menu and started the game again.
- Fixed a bug where button icons wouldn't change based on the controller the player is using.
- Fixed an issue where the whisper sound effect wouldn't loop properly.
- Fixed one of the stained glass windows not having any collision.
- Fixed a rare issue where the checkpoint text would stay on screen if the player died right after activating a checkpoint.
- Made the last checkpoint trigger slightly larger and moved it a bit to cover a case where the last checkpoint could be missed.
- Improved camera collision (made it less likely for the camera to clip through geometry).
- Rendering optimizations (added occlusion culling, and low-detail models for certain objects when they are far away).
- Tiny changes to snow particle color and opacity.
- Moved a couple of slightly floating models downward so that they are on the ground like they should be.
- Updated the credits with up-to-date information.
- Matched the new credit roll speed to the ending music.
